Did you know...
...that Albert Bandura developed the theory of social learning, which shows how we learn through observation?
Albert Bandura was one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century and was particularly interested in the role of observation and imitation in the learning process. His famous Bobo Doll experiments in the 1960s showed how children learn and imitate aggressive behavior by observing adult models. Children who saw adults hitting the Bobo doll later imitated this behavior themselves. The resulting social learning theory states that people learn behavior by observing others and that the environment and role models play a crucial role in the learning process. Bandura's work has influenced not only psychology but also education. His contribution has expanded our understanding of how people adopt behavior and how environmental factors, reinforcement, and cognitive processes interact with each other.
